In the field
What homeowners and builders tell us.
The iron entry doubled the curb appeal of the whole house. TruDoors walked us through every option and freight delivery was painless.
I've spec'd doors from a half-dozen suppliers. TruDoors' drawings, lead times, and tolerances are the cleanest I've seen.
Pivoted to a 9-ft pivot door for our remodel. It arrived crated like a specimen; swing and seal landed tight the same afternoon.

TruDoors is focused on Arizona right now. Our own crew sets the frame, hangs the slab, fits hardware, and weather-seals the opening — installs are typically scheduled within a week or two once the door is ready on our side. Yard pickup is available when inventory allows; your written quote spells out exactly what is included.
TruDoors works in wrought iron across our catalog — entries, pivots, French and patio systems, wine and climate glass, plus matching driveway and courtyard gates and iron window packages. We no longer position separate solid-wood or standalone steel product lines; everything routes through the forge as iron.
We keep popular iron entry sizes in stock when we can. Yard pickup is typically same-day when the slab is ready; if it's not on hand, expect a few short days. Delivered in-stock units usually land within a few days depending on routing. Custom drawings start after a 30% deposit and average about three months through forge, finish, and freight — exact dates move with queue, glass packages, and carriers, and we put hard dates on the quote whenever possible.
TruDoors iron doors ship with insulated glass packages as standard — you are not upgrading from uninsulated to insulated on typical jobs. Switchable smart glass and stepped-up premium thermal / low-e stacks (for example tighter U-factor specs, triple glazing, argon fill) require designing the slab and cavity on a custom order and cannot be field-retrofitted onto a yard pickup slab. Stay in-stock for speed, or commit to custom when you need those stacks.
Plan on roughly three months end-to-end once drawings are approved and the 30% deposit clears — forge queue, finishing, glass build, and freight all play a part. Your written quote calls out production targets and shipping windows so nothing is vague.
Iron work is quoted on a square-foot basis — typically $125 per square foot on standard packages. Depending on the design and client, TruDoors sometimes lands closer to $110–115 per square foot. Smart glass plus wiring and premium thermal / low-e glass stacks typically trend higher (often in the roughly $135 per square foot glass-forward band — confirm line items on each quote). Final numbers always include hardware, finish, freight, and install scope in writing.
Custom orders run on a 30% deposit after you approve the drawings. The balance is due before the finished door leaves our control per the payment schedule on your quote.
Yes. We extend the same forged iron vocabulary to driveway and courtyard gates plus fixed and operable iron windows so architects can spec a unified kit of parts. Lead times follow the custom track unless we explicitly note available stock on your quote.
Constantin leads design in-house — he’s been drafting custom iron alongside the family for two generations. Every TruDoors piece is drawn for your specific opening — your style, your climate, your hardware. We don’t resell catalog doors.
TruDoors doors are designed in-house and hand-forged by the master iron workers we’ve partnered with for years at their workshop in Xiamen, China. We work closely with them on every project — Constantin signs off on every drawing before crating — then doors stage for Arizona delivery or yard pickup, with TruDoors' local crew handling installation.
Yes, on custom orders. Switchable smart glass can move from opaque to clear on demand. It is not available as a field retrofit on in-stock slabs — plan for a custom forged frame and glass build.
Yes — TruDoors doors ship with insulated glass as standard on typical packages. “Thermal,” for us, means upgrading beyond that baseline to higher-performance glazing with documented specs — low-e coatings, triple lites with argon, lower U-factor, SHGC, and air leakage for tough climates or code reviews. Say what targets you need and we tie the numbers on the quote before deposits.
Yes. We routinely handle non-standard sizes, bespoke scrollwork, matched entry and gate sets, custom hardware, and architect-led window walls. If you can describe it, we can likely draw and forge it in iron.
That is exactly what TruDoors is built for — every piece is drawn to your measurements. Within Arizona TruDoors can measure on site if there’s any doubt before fabrication. We also work from photos, rough dimensions, and architectural PDFs you send in.
TruDoors is Arizona-first: installation is performed by TruDoors' own crew on a schedule that is typically a week or two out once the door is ready. Yard pickup and local coordination are spelled out on your quote.
1) Submit project notes through our quote form. 2) Constantin drafts concepts and we send line-item pricing. 3) Approve drawings and pay a 30% deposit. 4) Forge, finish, and QC with progress photos. 5) Pick up in-stock units from the yard when available, or coordinate delivery — TruDoors installs for Arizona clients with scope spelled out on that job’s quote.
Yes — twelve months from completion covers structural defects in the door itself as supplied by TruDoors (the welded iron assembly / slab we manufactured). Insulated glazing that fogs because the seal failed, with moisture between the panes, is treated as part of that door warranty during the same twelve-month window. Broken glass from impact, jobsite mishandling, vandalism, or after you take possession is not covered — plan for appropriate builder's risk or homeowner insurance. Detailed limits are spelled out in your written quotation.
No. TruDoors installers focus on hanging and commissioning the door — they do not patch drywall or repair stucco around the opening. On most installs, moldings you order through TruDoors cover the jamb-to-drywall joint so drywall does not remain exposed. Major jobs that require demo may disturb surrounding drywall or stucco; restoring those finishes is your responsibility or your GC's — not TruDoors. Call that scope out when you request a quote.
